Breast Reduction and Lift
The breast volume to be reduced depends on the initial condition and
patient's expectations.
Differently from traditional "inverted T scar " techniques, the modern
breast surgery leave minimal scars.
After the peri-areolar Benelli's technique and Lassus/Lejour vertical technique, the "Owl incisions" combine the two procedures with better cosmetic result, preserving lactation and nipple-areola sensation.
D'Onofrio's current technique for breast reduction and lift involves some modifications to the Owl incisions, improving plasticity and naturalness of results.
The patient is advised to bring a new size bra to wear immediately after surgery.
The procedure is performed under local very diluted anaesthetic and general sedation to have a clean operative field, a quick recovery and less discomfort after surgery.
We use resolvable stitches only and removal is not needed.
